| The CAPVT MVNDI restaurant,
located in the heart of the Madrid Salamanca district, opened
its doors at the end of 2004. Once you have crossed its
door, the name “CAPVT MVNDI" - Roma, head of
the world” becomes evident. You will find several
decorative motives that are well integrating two ages, the
Roman empire and today modern Italian fashion and style.
True full-scale reproductions of famous Pompeian frescos,
a Roman way scattered with real sestertious coins and other
archaeological findings, are perfectly integrated with minimalist
Wengue wood furniture and a Zettel'z Ceiling lamp designed
by Ingo Maurer (exposed at the New York Museum of Modern
Art), that lights an elegant private dining room.
The Italian design wengue tables, dressed with Bassols’
linen tablecloth and napkins, red Murano glasses and Vista
Alegre porcelain dishes, are the enhancing contour of the
most tasty meals and selected wines of the Italian peninsula.
A special atmosphere and an Italian touch will make you
enjoy an unforgettable dinner worthy of the first Roman
emperor: JuliusCaesar.
